Smashbox Photo Op Shadow Trio – APERTURE

Here is the last of the three Smashbox shadow trios I have!  This one is called Aperture.

Colors included are Alabaster, Sky and Truffle. Hand swatches shown above in that order.

This is the look I put together using the palette.  I found that it took some time to get it looking the way I wanted, but it was worth it.

I found that with these colors I had to have more of a “dabbing” application method so the pigment would show up better.

The only shadows I used are from the palette shown.  Then I lined my eyes with a bronze shimmer gel liner from Ruby Kisses and some Hard Candy mascara.

What do you think?  Is baby blue eye shadow too much?  Or would you want it to be more pigmented?  It has a soft shimmer so it is not brutally obvious you’re wearing blue shadow.

In the end, I like it.  I would say I loved it if I didn’t have to go back repeatedly to add the color.  But again I think the final look was worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

These palettes are a great idea, good formula, descent price for a name brand, and travel safely.
