Rimmel Scandal Eyes XX-treme mascara review

This product was provided for 100% honest review

Straight from the Rimmel London (US) website,

“The dual action brush captures lashes bringing them to their max.
Curved side: Volumises and loads up lashes for xx-treme look.
Flat side: Defines and lengthens lashes from root to tip. No clumps.”

This is an affordable mascara that gets the job done.  As you can see from my before application and after application photos that there is a dramatic difference. The photos help make this review easy for me and you.

This was two coats of mascara, with no lash primer.  I experienced no mascara flaking or random smudges after application either.  The results are kind of amazing, right?  I’m sold.

NIP + FAB Night products review

This is not a sponsored post.  Products were purchased by me at Ulta in Apple Valley, CA.

All opinions are 100% my own

I have problems when I go to place like Ulta, because I get easily overwhelmed by having so many choices.  So before I went in for my last haul I did some research online.  I really wanted to find some good night time skin care products.  Everything I had used before was OK.  But I really felt the need to try something new.

What caught me on these was the packaging.  Honestly, I know it is sad to say.  But I have a thing if the product looks bad, I want to believe it is bad.  The name was cute.  Also the names of the individual products themselves were intriguing.

So, what ended up being purchased is:

  • NIP + FAB Exfoliate + Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme ($14.95)  Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme super-strength acid exfoliating facial pads to target oily + congested skin 5% glycolic acid aids natural skin exfoliation + refines skin’s texture salicylic acid helps unclog congested skin lactic acid gently weakens the bonds holding dead skin cells together.
  • NIP + FAB Viper Venom Night ($14.95) A powerful night cream specially formulated with encapsulated time release retinol + SYN®-AKE, to reduce the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles + retexture skin, whilst you sleep. Hyaluronic acid provides long term hydration + an intensive plumping effect. Awake to smoother looking skin with a renewed youthful glow.

*note that items were on sale when purchased

Now I’m not proclaiming these are miracle products by any means.  However, I did notice quite a difference very quickly.  My skin feels insanely clean after using the pads.  I noticed the pores on my nose get smaller, I guess due to the unclogging process.  They are strong in both smell and power.  If you have super sensitive skin this might be overload for you.  They are actual pads, if you’ve ever used an Oxy pad before for blemishes… same concept.

The night cream looks more like a thick yellow serum.  It has a slight smell. A little bit goes a long way. You will literally feel your skin tighten.  When I use this at night I wake up with a bit of a glow.  I also end up with some extra sheen from oils on my face but that is fixed with a quick morning wash.  If I use these regularly I know I will continue to see improvements.  As I continue through my thirties I am getting better about a nightly routine, because I realize how important it is…

When I run out and if I re-purchase will be the true test!

SinfulColors Kylie Jenner Trend Matters nail polish photos – King Size

Product provided for 100% honest review

Here is yet another shade from the Kylie Jenner Trend Matters “velvet” collection from SinfulColors.  This is a big collection, overall.  Lots to choose from!

This manicure features the color King Size.  It is a medium tone purple shade with a soft gold shimmer.  Again, supposed to be a velvet, but I am not getting that matte fuzzy feeling; mine seems shiny.  Most important to me is that, I like the color.  This manicure is actually only one medium coat of color with no base or top coat. With this particular formula it seemed very thick and goopy compared to some of the others I have used so far.  It also took a little longer to dry.  But my little one liked it so much she demanded to have a mini-me pedicure in this color.

My nails are still super short, so please excuse the stumps that are my nail beds.

Overall I like the color, the name is cute and doesn’t mess with my weekly vibes.  Have you tried any of the SinfulColors and Kylie Jenner trend matters collection?  What’s your favorite?  Share!

Ban simply clean roll-on 24 hr. invisible protection review

Product provided for 100% honest review

I have been wanting to try a more traditional deodorant again ever since making the switch to Piper Wai.  I have not really had any issues with Piper Wai, however, once in a while I think it would be nice to save a few seconds.  You know, put on deodorant the traditional way… and just roll it on.

I do have other issues with deodorants’.  They either make me break out or they require multiple applications per day.  Unless of course it is clinical grade.

This particular ban deodorant has a nice smell – called “simply clean.”  It rolled on easily and did not drip or stain my clothes.  I put it to a 24 hour test.  I’m right around 18 hours right now.  We did go shopping at several stores yesterday in 80 degree heat.  Maybe it’s just me and my overly sensitive nose and body, but I just really want a shower.  Nothing replaces that.  However I am not completely offending myself or others yet and could probably get away with a re-application and quick errand if I had to.

Also this particular deodorant has not given me a rash like some others do.

For me and my personal needs this is a great back-up deodorant.  Something to keep in a drawer at work if I’m running around a bunch and need a quick freshening.

The average price of these deodorants is $4.50 and can be found online or in big box stores.  It also comes in other scents, and a “no scent” option.

Stay fresh!
