Zoya Arizona goes Creamsicle plaid nail art, photos and review

From the Zoya BEACH Collection – I bring you Arizona!

Arizona is a bright orange cream.  I’m imagining if you took orange soda pop stained onto a white t-shirt and made it into a nail polish.

Yes, That’s the best description of orange I have for you.

I’m still very pale skin toned especially on my body, so this color makes me a tad lobster-ish looking.  However, I love the color – it is so different from the other oranges I have!

It took three full coats with a base and top coat to get the manicure you see above.  I did use a fast drying top coat so that definitely played a part in the dry time.

Then I got inspired by a summertime favorite: the Creamsicle!  I love how the orange and the white pop against one another so I wanted to give some nail art a try…

I cut some strips from my Born Pretty Store nail art tape and did three vertical stripes, then layered two horizontal stripes over those.  Pressed firmly so that no paint would bleed.

Note: your base color needs to be fully dried before trying this!

Next, you paint over the tape with the color of your choice.  I make the tape strips longer than the nail so that they are easy to remove.

You do not need to wait for the top color to dry before removing them.

The final result is a fun accent nail!  You can also do your tape lines at a slant to make argyle.

What do you think?  Is this tutorial helpful enough?  Would you like to see a video for this?  Let me know in the comments!

It totally looks like a creamsicle! That has always been one of my favorite color combos and one of my fave flavor combos so this is perfect.
