Sally Hansen Color Therapy in Smokey Emerald

Mostly looks like black on the nail with an awesome green/blue/purple shimmer depending on how the lights hit it. This is two coats + top coat. 🖤

This Color is part of a six piece collection that will shimmer your blues away. Perfectly festive for the holidays but take enough for work. It’s a win for everyone!

Hard Candy bite of black #nailpolish #review #bbloggers

Oh nail polish I have missed you so!

Today’s nail of the day is from Hard Candy called bite of black.  It has magenta, teal and silver glitters strewn through it.  Jam packed.  The formula was thick but with my short nails it’s never too tricky to paint.

Overall the color makes a soft spot in my heart and is a nice variation from other vampy polishes in my collection.

Hard Candy cosmetics can be purchased at Wal-Mart.  This product was received for the purposes of writing a 100% honest review.  All images and words are that of my own.

More colors from this collection coming soon to the blog!

Zoya Muse will make you want to dive right in to a pool or the ocean.

For me it applied like a medium thickness blue jelly with iridescent glitters scattered throughout.
The manicure you see here is actually three coats of Muse with a clear base and top coat.
It dried fairly quickly and I find myself staring at my nails often.
Truly it reminds me of the water sparkling in the sunshine.  You can’t help but smile.

Zoya nail polishes are available at http://www.zoya.com for $9 each

Girls.  Glitter is back in full effect.  Not only can you see it this new Zoya nail polish “Tomoko” but you can feel it with the Pixie Dust process that creates a textured polish.

Tomoko is a silver that shimmers non-stop.  This manicure used two coats.  Please note that I did not use a base or top coat.

The effects are long lasting – I have worn this for a week with minimal tip wear.  Which is great for the big picture but at the end of the day removal can be a challenge.  I recommend with these polishes you do the foil wrap removal method that is used for glitters (you can find videos on YouTube if this is new to you) or you can also try the Elmer’s glue method where you pain a thin coat of Elmer’s craft glue as a base coat so when you are done with this manicure you can gently remove it through peeling.  (another thing you can find on YouTube) However if you want to wear it on its own you can.  Just be prepared that removal may take some time and elbow grease plus lots of removal liquid and pads/cotton balls.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.  Overall I think it is worth the extra effort.  I really enjoy the payoff on these polishes.

Zoya Tomoko is available now on the Zoya website for $9

Nail Art: Zoya Pixie Dust in Vespa

zoya moons

The actual Pixie Dust product says to apply to bare nails but I trusted that it would be equally fabulous layered over Milani Pearl polish for a half moon effect.  It did just as I expected – a cool layered look that I loved.

I used a quick drying polish as the base coat.  Then when that was dry I applied some of those 3 hole punch paper stickers to cover the “moon” of my nail and painted 2 coats of Vespa over the top to get this look.

zoya

A close up shot of Vespa that looks like packed on pastel glitter.  It is textured and super sparkly.  This newly developed formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other. The color experts at Zoya have created six, long-wearing stunners for the introduction of this enchanting look.

Available now for $9 on Zoya.com
