My Neo Mag Light Tattoo Removal 1st update

If you are looking for info onNeo Mag Light (learn more at http://www.neomaglight.com) please start by reading my initial intro post here

This post is to inform you that I have started this journey and here is my first official update.

I’ve started with the tattoos in my inner fingers.

This was long before I started the Neo Mag Light process

This is after one treatment:

It is not a drastic difference.  For me since I stare at them every day I can tell some things are changing.  The “F” now has a tiny spot that totally blew out the color and the “W” is fading more than the other letters.  Honestly it was scary (for reasons mentioned in the initial post) so I didn’t place the Mag Light for the entire 3 seconds as I could have.  Now that I know how I will react to the process I’m going to have my husband do it for me so I can not instinctively pull it away and do the entire treatment properly the next time.

I can tell with patience and persistence it could work, but it is not an overnight miracle.  You are instructed to wait 21 days between treatments.

Stay tuned for progress update 2 in the near future…

My Neo Mag Light Tattoo Removal Adventure begins…

For those of you who don’t “know” me in real life, or from reading my blog regularly – I am heavily tattooed.  No joke.  Like, 50% of my body is covered in art.  I’m a walking canvas.

Unfortunately for me and my tattoos, I have retired from the music industry where they could breathe and now have to cover up from neck to toes daily since I work in health care.

Not to forget that I live in the desert, so I am dressed for winter year round even in 120 degree weather.  It sucks.  I’ve found ways to get creative and layer clothing but some are much more difficult to cover up – like the tattoos in the insides of my middle fingers.  They are awkward and require large uncomfortable rings or perfect cut outs of a tattoo cover up product.

In my mind I have toyed for the past few years, dare I try tattoo removal?  Part of me screams YES so that I may walk into a restaurant or shopping mall without being subjected to 20 questions and feel like a somewhat normal human being.  The other part of me is incredibly sad, as these are the last pieces of my “old life” that I have…

However, I must think about my future and what is best for me and my family – and that is ultimately removing (some) of my tattoos.  I’m starting with the fingers.

The device is Neo Mag Light (learn more at http://www.neomaglight.com) and I was fortunate enough to WIN my own at home laser tattoo removal device!

This post is to inform you that I have started this journey and I will be documenting the progress.

I’d also like to offer information about the product that I feel is important for those that are going to be using it for the first time.

The machine fits into your hand very similar to a tattoo machine would.  For those that have never had the honor of holding a tattoo machine, it is like a gigantic powered ink pen.

Now the difference is you have a light, not a needle

.

This round button on the top is what activates your light.  There is a small switch in the back that has three notches: off, fan, and on.

On is where you activate the light.  Always keep the fan running, even after you have deactivated your light so that the machine can cool down appropriately.

There’s a tiny little light in there that is insanely powerful.  I’m only a few days in and haven’t prepared a full progress post but let me tell you it will startle you…

Honestly it feels like you’re intentionally placing a hot pan on your skin.  Luckily it is only for 1-3 seconds at a time.

I’m optimistic and looking forward to sharing this journey of tattoo removal progress.

As I am so optimistic it will work I will eventually move on to other, larger tattoos.  So if you follow me on Instagram I am doing a memorial to my tattoos #30daysofmytattoos so that even after they are gone they will be captured in images with memories.

Stay tuned for progress…
