It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream

When I get a new facial cream, I tend to roll my eyes.  However, if you frequent my blog you know I love It Cosmetics.  So my heart skipped a beat.

 

The scent is a bit much for one who doesn’t like scents, such as myself.  However over a few days it grew on me and took on a fresh light scent that I enjoyed.  The formula is light and silky and melts into my dry patches of skin on the chin and around my nose.

 

For me, it is used under powder foundation or mixed with a liquid daily.  It gives me a clean and subtle glow so it doesn’t look like I’ve caked on my make-up.

 

It arrived in a gigantic box that even my husband found to be funny.  A bit of packaging overkill.  I’d rather us be more planet friendly in that aspect.  But the product itself is a good one.  At $48 a container for 2.0 oz it may take my husband some convincing if I want to re-fill my current stock of this.  But after using for two weeks I am leaning in that direction.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illuminator photos and review

For several years now, I have used IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye exclusively as my go-to under eye concealer.  When this little box of Bye Bye Under Eye Illuminator showed up I wondered, “how much better could this be?” Then I tried it.  While my original product was awesome at making me feel like I was quietly but confidently covered, this new product had me feeling like I looked more awake – which kind of blew my mind and now I am totally obsessed and using this every day.

 

To you it may not be the most significant change, but to me covering up my weirdly dark yet translucent under eye discoloring’s in even the slightest way is a wonderful day.  I use IT Cosmetics  for almost every thing, everything with the exception of my liquid foundation and my lips.  It is my go-to every day face (concealer, powders, brushes) plus there is a new Bye Bye Pores Blush out now… review of that to come soon, too.  Loving it…

I’ve never had an adverse reaction to any of these products and they are 100% a staple in my make-up kit.  I am thankful for this company and there reliable consistent products.

Woah, woah, woah… it is a very strong claim to say something like, “You can achieve flawless-looking skin and true complexion perfection in 30 seconds!”

But dang it, they are right!  I just received and tried out Celebration Foundation with SPF 50 in the light/medium shade and here is how it went…

1. opened the box

2. applied some Bye Bye Under eye concealer under my eyes

3. used my It Cosmetics brush and applied some Celebration Foundation all over my face and neck

4. swept on a coat of mascara

5. swept on some lip balm

6. ready to walk out the door

total prep time?  Less than a minute.

At $35 this is a no-brainer to keep restocking for me, as I am incredibly paranoid about leaving the house without make-up the older I get.  It takes practically no time to get ready which also makes my husband and kids  happy.  Plus it is affordable, and doesn’t give my husband heart palpitations when I say I need to buy more.  Personally I prefer applying with a softer brush, rather than the sponge it comes with.  But maybe that is just me…

For starters let me say AGAIN that I live for IT Cosmetics. Like, I literally use their products EVERY DAY. The face disc blush and highlighter are must haves for me. I’m not much for contouring so that kind of goes untouched but the rest is perfect coloring for me. 

  

The eye shadows are perfectly shimmering and feminine with a gentle application thanks to the brushes. The brush. Oh, the brushes are so insanely soft. It is like those super soft tee shirts you have, that are so cuddly snuggly that you never want to wear another tee shirt. Yes, that soft. 

  

The CC+ cream I can’t comment too much on, as the color is not a match for me so I haven’t worn a full face. But a sample on my hand felt very light and velvety.

Plain & simple review: I have never met an It Cosmetics product I didn’t like.  The Celebration Foundation is luxurious and the brush is so soft I rub it on my face just because it feels good.  The Tightline is my obsession of the month.  I think it is one of the most genius things ever made.  EVER!!  Then when you add the Hello Lashes?  Damn, Gina.  Watch out… at $60.48 this is a QVC steal.
